This is a little info I'm giving if you want to run a 180 T-stat in your car to let it run a little cooler :thumbsup:

Go to Napa auto part and tell they you want a T-stat but give them this box number 153 it's about $6.20 or it's easy to install you just have to use the old gastket from the t-stat your replacing....plus you don't have to wait for a vendor to ship it or pay over price...

Napa Brand there's also one thru autozone but i don't have a part number

That's how i found out i bought the t-stat thru PtP :facepalm: so i'm just trying to help others

Hmm i thought most ppl do. Plus i heard you can't just pull thermostat out

you can pull them out but the ecu still controlls the fans and only kicks them on till 210 degrees. but if you get it tunned and change the setting on the ecu then it might be a worth while mod.

If u stop it go's to 200 but soon as you get to rolling again it go's down

it works... ya your fans kick on at 200 but your stat is open way before you reach 200+.. the 180 helps out some with cooling so these is no point of knocking it... and these is other ways around getting the fans to kick on earlier then doing a "ecu mod" (aem, sct or diablo is what your talking about) you have other options besides even using the ecu to chance when it kicks on..

you cant take out the thermstat.. it controls flow and pressure needed for our motors.

and what do yo mean by most ppl dont mod right?? didnt know there was a guide line of how your suppose to mod a srt... sounds to me like your just hating on srt's

Well there you go. If you get one for a DD you can upgrade the T-stat then ownedthumb

even better no stat free and wire the fan differently or reprogram it

thermostat helps. I would highly suggest NOT pulling the thermostat out!

i did the 180 t-stat mod a while back works great id recomend it even if not modding ur NSRT.
