If u get a external turbo setup is there a need for a downpipe if u got a dump tube

Dumptube is for waste gate. Downpipe is for the turbo. Dumptube is used to let exhaust gases from the wastegate out. Either into the dp or into the atmosphere. Into the dp it will be quiet. To atmosphere you will hear it releasing the exhaust.
