Its coming to the time when I'm going to need a engine rebuild and was wondering how much it would be for just a normal rebuild and if I went with forged internals how much would that be with parts included? And also how much do you charge for machine work if I had a 0.020 overbore done?

Why do you think it needs a rebuild ? is it smoking ? clinking ? clanking ?

Well I have 138,000 miles on it, But I just wanted to know there rate for that just in-case I want to run more then 7 to 8PSI when I turbo because my compression is fine and everything, the car runs perfect.
Oh and how much would you charge to change my belts and water pump?

oh ok gotcha, ya well it also depends on how well the engine was taken care of, just have the block rebuilt and built to support more PSI :)

Build it for big boost.
Feel free to PM me the plans on the car. We have Joses protege that has like 168xxx miles and runs strong at 10 psi all day. However in that car, 300 is the limit with built motor as far as cost effiency goes. Its a normal build cost to build a capable motor for 300whp, however to build it for more starts getting crazy expensive.
We actually are starting to get parts around to build joses car. K1 rods and wisecos, standard bore as long as the walls look good.

Yeah I was not planning to put down huge boost, just a simple 7-10psi range. If I was to just boost without having to do a rebuild, say (my compression was good) could I turbo without the rebuild?
Depends on the turbo. Shoot, the msp is still a stock protege motor with a turbo on it lol
