Well good luck to you either way. I personally think that the STi's/Evo's are WAY overplayed. Beautiful and potentially nasty cars but everybody and their sister has one. They are becoming as commonplace as a Scion TC IMO. The Cobalt is a Colbalt... The Cavalier replacement. If you can handle telling people that you drive a Cobalt, you are a better man than me (remember that most people you tell will have no clue that an SS is a slightly respectable vehicle).

The G8 is the vote I cast but I still think you can do better than that with the same money looking into the Northern/Western European end of the globe (M3, S60R, S4, etc.)

I like all cars, but if I were to go American, I would prefer GM. ;) That white one was pretty clean with the read interior. Seats look just like the ones that were in my GTO. I'm going to test drive a couple vehicles this weekend. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

I'm thinking of cost to mod, maintain, and repair also. Euro cars are so damn expensive to maintain and repair. I know Evo and STi parts aren't cheap either though. You have to pay to play I guess.

I'm not worried about telling people what I drive. If I was trying to prove something by just looks, I'd buy a BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc. I just want it to perform when I give it gas and not break after doing so. :) I know the LS3 is a proven platform, the LNF seems to be proving itself quite well, and we all know the Evo and Sti can handle some power also.

At the end of the day it's going to boil down to what's going to perform best dollar for dollar. Looks are a priority, but performance and reliability are more important to me.

I love the GXP based on stats and looks. Haven't driven one yet, but I'm sure I'll be impressed. I plan on driving that white one this weekend. It would be nice to have that GXP parked next to the Camaro :naughty:

I say get a evo. Its a different ball game driving a awd car. Plus it handles well in the corners and it won't gustle as much gas as a g8. One question, are you lookin for stick or auto ? Cause evos only come stick .oh and the evo engines come with a cast iron block so they can handle high power on it without doing something to the block.

Always prefer a manual transmission even though todays modern trasnmissions are pretty intelligent and capable, it still takes away from the fun factor. :)

I've had an AWD car. Had an 02 WRX and a '93 AWD TSi Talon. I understand and appreciate the benefits of AWD, but I also know in order to get those amazing 60' times you have to do a 6k rpm side step on the clutch lol. Gas will be better on the Evo though.

evo or sti is the same bc now the evo have aluminum blocks they are limitaded on power like the sti unless you upgrade the sleeves ,so sti get my vote bc i now how to work on it lol
