So I plan on buying a camaro in the near future
But I need help
This is going to be my racecar so like no interior and all them goodies.
But I want to save some money so my question is
How do the v6 camaros differ than the z28 or ss
Is the suspension different and what about the rear end etc...
I plan on buying a 408 and fix it
But I can get a cheap 98-02 v6 camaro cheap for like 2g's
Its also going to be a a m6
So plz some help

start off with the roller for an v8 that way it already has the right stock suspension and wiring harness, ecu and so on. you can find em pretty cheap if you watch ls1tech closely

I would get a v6, your going change out all the suspension, motor, rear, trans anyway if its going to be a race car. You can get a ECU and harness pretty cheap. Plus like you said the car it's self will be very cheap

I agree with Flash
Make sure to get a V8 Camaro
It will make your life easier
Or drop the 408 in your truck
and have a racetruck
And paint it black
because black is faster

what ben said is also correct, i agree with it for the most part if your gonna through with th full racecar plan, but if you think your gonna put a motor and tranny and leave stock suspension/rear and drive it often then go with a v8 but if your gonna stick with your plan of a track car only thats gonna be fully built i can see a v6 roller working out as well.

just make sure you think about it, before you jump into something then change ur mind and say FML.

get whatever your budget can afford at the time. Swapping wiring harness and ecu over is nothing major. if you get a complete harness (which are for sale many places) you can just run the wiring throughout the car and even trim the harness of un-neccessary wiring if you are putting the car on a serious diet. I bought my last car as a shell and I added all the wiring and ecu. It took me all of an hour to get the wiring installed.

I have a 96 t/a roller for sale if you are interested. Already has a 255lph pump in the tank subframe connectors, eibach springs, 373 geared rear. Ill let it go cheap as it needs a front clip.

I would go with a v8 just bc if your gonna put the 408 later on the k member is already there. That would save you some time/money. If you dont care about time/money then get a v6 roller and go from there.

good luck! Have you seen how much a 427 will cost you, MAYBE 10 GRAND OR MORE....more than the car, then you have to worry about tranny to handle the power...YOU GOT A LONG ROAD AHEAD OF YOU
