View Full Version : Ran the bullitt at the track?

Well just posting for those of yall that arent on xp and that know of me or the car......

Boost controller wasnt working so all i could do was run off the wastegate.. Datalogs show 10.9 lbs in the top 3 gears, and or or 9lbs in first....

stock leather seats front and rear, irs out of an 04 cobra, ccw wheels, radial tires all the way around.. 255 50 16 in the back...

took the car form the shop, to the krogers off of cullen and 518, then drove it to baytown, ran it two or three times friday, made the true street cruise from baytown to kemah, and back, then 3 back to back runs on for the actual true street race.... NO bottles to refill, no trips to the gasstation, or racegas, just filled it up at the pump and drove it and raced it all weekend... THATS A FAWKING STREET CAR...

Oh, and the actual plan was to run almost 30psi at the track, so its safe to say, there is a little bit left in it...

Nice times, what does the car weigh? 30psi sounds a little over the top with just a 74mm. I saw your car as you were loading it up Saturday, I showed up late to watch my friend race (red/black mustang parked by you) nice car.

its not light.. it sits on CCW wheels, has an independant rear suspension, had a tank full of gas, big brakes, stock leather front and back seats, cages, screen, stereo.....

its not a gutted out tin can on light wheels and tires...

I went by the weight station and no one was there....

And like i said, the plan was running 30psi.... This turbo is done in the 800rwhp range, and with the newish setup, I figure that will only take 20 to 25psi...

lol it sure didnt push like a 3500lb car... didnt both you and stevie guess 3700?

ALso i ordered a 1.25 exhuast housing, and am working on getting and ams1000 here.......

Going to see how close to 150mph this little 74mm will get me...

THen comes the 80mm and some real power.

but on top of that, more boost, more timing, and a little bit leaner are coming...

Ill be at the track over the next few weeks im sure.. showing times poping hood.

Just incase anyone wants to get a look at a quick little 2v car...

Not sure, I might go to baytown tommorowo again, if it doesnt rain...

gonna try a little more than 14 degrees of timing, and see if i can figure out a way for a little more boost... Because i still havent ordered the ams 1k controller..

Ill give juan a call, maybe i can take it by this weekend....

honestly who cares how long it takes someone to build a car. I dont know too many people who build a fast car over night. Why not just say good job and leave it at that.

Yah I can agree with you on that. Knowing what all went on with davids car makes it that much more sweeter. I mean hell he even made his own custom turbo headers!

yea ill run from a dig! NOT!

my car is stock bottom end stock heads stock drivetrain. but it has put a hurtin on a few people around houston.

I know the guy, im sure it was just meant as a joking around type thing.

His gto used to beat up on my stock/bolt on mustang all the time..

But yeah i bought it in october of 2006
And yeah i have take it from a 13second bolt on car that dynoed 260rwhp

to a turboed fully done up street car that makes 3 times that...

In less than a year, its had 2 turbo kits built for it...

and the motor has been apart 3 times.....

The most recent turbo kit.... I started on 5 weeks before the NMRA event..

In 5 weeks, i redid the brake and steering setups, built and installed the rollbar, completely from scratch built a custom turbo kit with forward racing headers, aswell as redoing most of the oil and cooling system and lines...





LOL try about a year total to build a custom turbo kit in house....not too bad if you ask me.
