First Annual Texas Mitsubishi Shootout

The date is finally official, Sunday June 20th JMS Racing along with Tirado Custom Coatings will be hosting the first Texas Mitsubishi Shootout @ San Antonio Raceway.

The time of the event will be: Gates open @ 9am, Racing starts @ 10am, Event ending 5pm.

Pending will be a BBQ/Dyno Day Shootout @ JMS Racing in San Antonio Saturday the 19th. More info on that as well!

Official classes will be posted later in the week along with prizes. Sponsors will be named as they get on board.

Test and Tuning will be open to ALL vehicles. Whatever make/model, the lanes will be open.

Please spread the word, we want to make this event big enough to continue on with next year.

Ticket stubs will be handed out to people with Mitsubishi's which can be used for a discounted meal at Biff Buzby's Burgers.

Please no ricer burnouts or anything that will get you kicked out, I'm sure there will be a cop there so if you cause any problems you'll be asked to leave.

Hmmm. So the track is on nhra rules that day...so street class is only street tires, no cage time must be higher than 11.5. Pro class is drag radial limited, full exhaust and glass windows. Im assuming other interior mods/roll cage are fine since it says no interior. All out is pretty much anything goes.

Let me ask you this, how strict are they going to be on everything except the roll cage stuff? Jorge already told me make sure its cages for 11.50 or faster. But how strict are they on lets say having a 9sec license for running 9s that day? That would probably be my main concern.

If you have a cage you will be good to go.
Will they ask for a 9 sec license if you run a 9? Don't know and to be honest I can't answer this, all I can say is I doubt they will be that strict. At the same time, we don't want to be blamed if anybody is asked for a 9 sec license.

Test and Tune will be open all day, any make and model can run in the Test and Tune (Honda, Toyota, Nissan etc).

$15 to spectate
$25 test and tune
$35 to enter a class

Gates will open at 10am Sunday June 20th.

Night meet Saturday June 19th at Biff's Burgers 5pm-10pm.
