Make at least a 31 on the asvab test. Meet the physical requirement of 5 pullups, 54 crunches and run a 1 1/2 in 13:30. Haha yea honestly its not for everyone. I'm fresh out of BOOT and let me tell ya its a challenge worth taking. At first I was like what the hell am i doing here! You have to be physically and mentally strong and when that day comes that the drill instructors give you your eagle globe and anchor all that stress and frustration would all be worth it in the end especially when your family are looking at you graduating as you're marching down the parade deck. It was well worth it for me.

One of my friends was a grunt, other a radio op, other adminster(paper pusher) and the other was a diesle mechanic. Everytime we drive by a cat or mustang crane he goes. Oh man I can work on that! Lol

Yea pretty much cuz they teach you to work on stuff like that. It also helps build career experience so when you get out it looks good on you.

And I also know alot of ppl who went to school but cant get jobs cuz they have no experience. It just depends on what ppl are looking for. You have to take a risk like I said before its not for everyone and definately not for the weak minded. You have to be smart and know what your future plans are.

Thanks for serving out country. But yeah its not for everyone. I have a friend currently in the marines he is stationed in san diego. Recently he came down here and he says its not worth it and they tell u all this stuff when ur enlisting but at the end nothing really.

its because of what you represent, what would u think if u saw the president with tatoos, or his eyebrow, ear or nose pearced, or if u go to heart surgery and see your surgeon that way, not sure if anymore, but u can do with your body whatever u want as long as it doesnt show when wearing your uniform

Judge a book by its cover? I dont care what a person looks like as long as there the best person for the job. If the number 1 heart surgeon in the world had tats showing and ear nose and tongue pierced and any other ol regular heart dr comes in all clean cut. Which would you let do the surgery?
