Well, as you all probably know by now the street car went 10.5 @ 140.5mph last weekend at ifo in LA. If you didn't see the thread, here it is:

http://shiftslow.com/showthread.php?t=3635

From those passes, we realize we aren't to far off from some records...Here would be a few and what the current holders are doing:

Fastest and Quickest stock block evo: 10.01 @ 142.5mph

Im not 100% sure on this, but I don't believe this was a full weight car (possibly partially gutted). If not, we have the highest trapping full weight stock block ;) lol.

In this record, we are not only trying to be the fastest, but be the first in the 9s :).

From where the car was at the other weekend, we got our 1.5mm compressor wheel (35r wheel) in the turbo today.

Our next modifications include getting the car on speed density, freeing up some flow in the intercooler piping. Followed with an oem mitsu LSD for the front to get rid of our front left wheel smoke issue and help bring down the 60' and 1/8th mile times.

For now, this is about all thats on our list of future mods to get the car close to the record books. Im trying to do as little possible to the car to see how little it takes to get to our goals, and doing this project on a strict budget little modifications are alot easier lol.

Time to start turning up the boost and going to town ;)

I will try and update this thread often with new pictures and timeslips as we get them. Might be going to HRP tonight and try to et the launch/60'/ 1/8th times dialed in closer to where we want them. That weekend at ifo was a firt time for me on a completely different cam setup and drags.

When you say stock block do you mean BLOCK? or SHORTBLOCK?

Is it still considered a stock shortblock even with aftermarket rod bolts?

Car is freaking moving, how low do you think you can get the 60fts?

Ever had the car on gas? If so, How does the car differ in spool or overall power between e85 and gasoline...

also what kind of trans a 5speed or six?

All the races talk about how much a car pics up with a forward facing turbo, Do you think that had alot to do with how much it picked up?

Stock pistons/rods/crank/head/valves.

There is debate on the rod bolts, but thats the first thing to fail on these motors. Most see it as pistons and rods being stock, its stock.

Im shooting for 1.5s with an LSD and a well prepped track.

Nope, never on gas (nitrous, im assuming). Its on e85, spool is the same no noticeable difference.

5speed, stock gearing.

Def helping in the back half...guaranteed, no doubt.

Not much progress lately. Been pulling parts off that customers needed lol.

Good news is, most that are coming off are going back on with better parts.

Blow thru MAF setup came off. Took the maf setup out of the IC piping to free up some flow and got the parts in for speed density. The new MAP is in the car, just got the IAT sensor and harness in yesterday, when we get caught up next week I will get the new IAT sensor drill and tapped in the manifold. And start tuning once again, I think until we get the LSD and alum driveshaft in we will be holding a conservative tune around 25 psi. Im looking into some bigger injectors that will flow smoother in cruise, since after all, it is a street car )

Hahahah, yeah that would have been horrid. Car's running super rich at only 19 psi and stock timing, any evo9 and most of the 8s we have ever tuned here could just about pull me right now hahaha
