240SX VQ35 swap progress

[CMSperformance]

we are swaping a customers 240SX (S14) w/ a 07 G35 VQ engine.


as many of you know that a VQ engine swap is not very common in this car the wiring is a nightmare and it is easier to just throw in a sr20 or a RB engine in it and go.

so we feel very greatfull that this customer decided to let us take on his project and make a masterpiece out of his vehicle.the biggest problem that ppl are haveing is makeing a wiring harness for this,the problem is that the electrical is much newer then the old style( i will not go into much detail on this issue to much to type) the only thing that will work w/ out doing major electrical work ...gaugewise it the fuel gauge LOL...
speedo rpm obd2 ect are a pain to make work as well as taking off the NATS system not to mention keeping the G35 TB DBW system and not going the easy way out cable system...

OUR GOAL:
-to make this car run as if this motor belongs in it ********* JOB COMPLETED GOALS HAVE BEEN MET*********
-have his stock gauge cluster work w/ this engine
-to keep the DBW system
-have a happy customer

all these customers are well awere and understand there down time not only do we do builds/swap but we have our basic sales/installs too... and you know we are really good about delivering projects on time....and have a staff that is on top of things..

i think this car will also be in the 13sec range as well
,twin turbo set up in the near future plans as well.....:woot:

yes it is a 07' engine........FYI..just so you know when you google 07 g35 engine you will prolly get pics of the the twin intake set up...but similar to the 07 silverado they did make a classic...meaning 07 year but classic style...not new body new style...so yes this is a 2007 G35 VQ35DE engine...good food for thought i figured ppl would just know but maybe i should have posted 06 VQ to make things easier...thank for the comment though we cant wait till were done either:excited:

i didnt know they made a classic version of the G37. non the less i bet the swap will yeild some good results.

stock G35 shifter bracket next to the custom bracket ,as you can tell the assembly is much shorter the the original G35 bracket we cut and welded the shifter shaft also to fit ...came out good now he will have the shifter in the stock hole... just like it belongs there...we pay attension to detail like that:thumbsup:

motor and trans are bolted in now. we will be switching out the rear end to the j30 LSD when it gets here friday from FL, car should be done in 1-2 weeks

also customer delivered another 240SX yesterday
we will be swaping a lower mile motor into it.. plus do a auto to 5 speed swap and re do the whole front end pics be up soon

VQ swap is DONE! vehicle is getting AC filled across the street from us then it will be delivered to paint and body shop for the custom paint job.. will try to post up video for you guys soon
