so im thinking about what my next project might be, and i think i've come to the conclusion that im gonna try to find a used 98-00 z28 and slap a supercharger on it. Just want to hear everyone's opinion on the idea and the supporting mods you think would accomidate the car.
well, i figure since im a somewhat poor man, i'll leave the internals alone and just boost it. this should help keep some of the driveability vs a cammed v8 that might have to see daily driving conditions, should also help with fuel consumption as well. So lemme hear what you have to say about it good or bad, and maybe possibly recommend a better suggestion !?

difference is intial price. you can do a blower cam and then a blower and have the best of both worlds however its all in the tune as far as and making it last. ls1's have a little high compression for boost but u can boost it.. dont expect to make 800hp on stock internals

oh no, i have pretty conservative expectations as far as power goes, only looking to make 450-550. Just looking to run high 11's to low 12's. just want a quick car for the streets, kinda why i wanna leave the motor alone. really just looking to see if this is a cheap way to go for a quick car.

cam and nitrous and a good tune are your best friends for this ordeal :) have fun and happy modding

lol, the idea here is to be streetable but quick. car has to pull double duty as a daily driver as well, if my other daily were to break or what have you.

Ok this is talking about mustangs, but from my experience, the stock motor turbo, or stock motor blower cars are going to be alot easier to drive, alot easier on parts, and most of time faster.. when compared to a big cam type setup..
Buy a 2v or an older cobra, throw a turbo on it.. 10 or 12 lbs of boost.. Thats a low 11second car with high teen, low 120 traps.. will make in the mid 400s easy..
