Thinkin about a front mount for the MS3, Cobb and CP-E have decent ones for about a grand or so. Would there be any benefit in having turbochargers.com or someone else build me one? Seems to me a $150 mishimoto core and $100 in pipeing shouldnt cost a grand, is there that much to it?

you make a very good point, but your not figuring into the equation that someone must make a profit hommie.

Don't know about your car but sum kits won't fit without any cutting or even ac removal... Make sure to check that out
The cheapest way would be to buy a decent (good brand) core and buy piping separately and do it your self...

and some piping

I know it would require some fabrication, welding aluminum and a bpv mount, but is it really that much labor?

they probly use a higher quality parts, clamps, couplers, and cores..
this stuff is probly double or tripple the price of the ebay stuff... and they are not moving the units the ebay stuff is, so they must have a higher markup or else it wouldnt be worth it to them.
if you are interested in just doing a pieced together type kit, with ebay quality parts, ill put something together for you for half the price of those....
welded on bov flange, cut to fit piping, rolled edges to keep from blowing off during boost.
been there and done that with boosted mustangs before.. not to mention you wont need to worry about install.
oh and i personally think mishimoto is shit...
the radiators they make for mustangs seem to leak, if you weld them, they leak somewhere else, if you send it back and they give you a new one, that one leaks..
cx racing is the place to go for cheap intercoolers, supported 600+rwhp on my car, with inlet temps barely over 100F while just sittin there on the dyno..
i cant speak for temps of others i have installed, but they work fine and seem plenty reliable.

Im in the market for an aluminum radiator..Was about to get a Mishimoto for 185$..What would you recommend since all I ever had is stock and less than stock??

Well, Im not intrested in a pieced together kit if its not going to be reliable. I would be intrested in a custom built kit with quality parts or will just go with a turboxs or cobb kit. This is my 1st turbo car, I have alot to learn.

not really sure, i dont think i have ever done, or felt the need for an upgraded radiator in the stuff i do.. If you need one, i would try griffin, i know alot of the racecars use them when moving to smaller units to open up space for a turbo or blower.

its not that it wont be reliable, im sure it doesnt do as good of a job as some of the higher end stuff... its just that the 10 degrees temp difference, isnt worth paying double or tripple the price for most people.
and also you are paying alot less because its mass produced, they just make thousands and thousands of one size fits all type units.. IM sure the ones you get from tuners have been worked out to fit just perfect, inlets, outlets, overall size, and depth are all probly figured into the application.
